Our thoughts...
I read quite a bit of fantasy, and I read quite a bit
of PNR. This series has a little bit of both.
While they could be written differently, to me, they are one in the same
sometimes. That’s exactly what the author gives us.
We are in the Fae world, and I must admit I didn’t
read book one. I accidently started book two, but that didn’t really matter because the author did a splendid job catching the reader up to what had
happened previously in book one.
I did feel the story line was a little of the same when
it comes to lands of the Fae versus the real world stuff. Not a new feeling regarding world building. It’s hard to take a
mythical world that I have read so many times and paint it as your own. I did
enjoy the story as a whole, though. The dialogue
was witty, and I felt the characters were adamant
in their conviction. In all, I would say
I would read the next book following this one.
4 stars.
Thanks for review Anjee! I have to be honest and say I have never read any books about the Fae, but I plan to!
