Our thoughts...

I love a good book with angst and second chances. Penelope Ward is one of my favorite authors.

Mackenzie Morrison and Francesca met when they roommates while in college. They quickly became good friends and although Mack has a girlfriend that lives out of town he loves to spend time with Francesca. It didn’t take long for the two of them to fall into a routine and for Mack to give Francesca the nickname Frankie.

Years passed and Frankie is finally out of her awkward stage and comfortable around other people. Her world gets rocked when Mack shows up at her school with his son Jonah. He trusts Frankie with his son even after all these years. The hurt comes back to Frankie of him leaving her even after all these years. She is confused now that he is back and she is in a serious relationship.

Mack promised himself that when he came back he was going to somehow win Frankie back. His life has changed since he saw her last but he is very determined to do whatever it takes.

I am such a fan of angst and couldn’t put this book down. The chemistry between Mack and Frankie is strong. I couldn’t help but pull for Mack to get the girl but I won’t tell you what happens.
