When Life Happened ruined me. I will admit that I did not finish this book. This book was shaping up to be a solid 4 if not 5 star read up until 46%, that is when it became a DNF. Here are my reasons why. This contains spoilers:

1.     Enough horrible shit happens in real life. I want to read to escape it. I don’t see the point in killing off one of the main character or I guess now, a secondary character.

2.     Yes, you had a reason for your madness. I just think that reason is horrible.

3.      Parker has a shitty sister. Why when she just started to find happiness would you take that away? It makes no sense. You can’t justify what her sister did.

4.     Her mother has her head buried in the sand like a damn Ostrich. I get parents shouldn’t pick sides with their children but they should call them out when they are being a complete asshole to their sibling. They should’ve pointed out that Piper was in the wrong. You don’t just tell the offended sibling  to get over it. That is bullshit.

5.     This is where I start to guess what happens in the last 50%. She falls in love with the brother. She forgives her sister and they all live happily ever after. I call bull shit on all of it.

6.     I loved this book up until you broke my heart. My friends that have finished, LOVE it! They tell me I need to finish. I'm just not sure I can.
