Just when I think these books can’t get any better they do!  Kyla does an amazing job of making you feel as though you are living in this fantasy world that is as beautiful and magical as it is dark and dangerous with Cyrene and her band of misfits.

 We start The Consort where The Bound left off. Cyrene has lost her best friend, is imprisoned for a crime she didn´t commit, lost the love of her life and to top it off, her magic is gone. I couldn't believe the changes that happened at Court and how quickly alliances become enemies, it became evident that you can only trust your friends. 

Cyrene grows into her own person and becomes a formidable fighter with better control of her magic. So much takes place in this book that it's hard to talk about without sharing any spoilers but I will say this in The Consort secrets are revealed, new magical creatures/beings are introduced, and betrayal lies at every corner. 

 I wonder where Cyrene's journey will take her next.  I loved every minute of it and I can't wait for the next book!
