Office Romance  ~ Sexual Tension ~ Intrigue

Owning Violet has all the elements of a dramatic love story –intrigue, betrayal, drama, boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and an office romance – and I loved it!   In the beginning I was pissed off at Violet for letting Zachary (not Zach) walk all over her, because she was supposed to be a lady, but that anger turned to excitement when I saw the “real” Violet come out. (There were a couple of scenes I wanted to fist pump for the awesome things Violet did.)  As the relationship between Ryder and Violet developed, you could feel the sexual tension build and it kept me engaged in the story.   More than half way through the story, the storyline did take some twist and turn and it was hard to keep track of the storyline; I found myself having to go back and re-read some sections because at some points I got lost.   The only other thing I struggled with was the self-flagellation that Ryder did to himself because of his past and not being good enough for Violet.  (It got old after a while.)   Overall, it was a great story, and if you like office romances, you will like Owning Violet.
