Liz's Top Picks of 2014 & Giveaway

It was hard to narrow it down, because I read so many great books last year.   Below are my top picks of 2014 (in no particular order)

  1. Rome by Jay Crownover - I was introduced to this series through my book club and was excited to read Rome and Cora's story.  I just loved Cora and wanted to see her get her HEA.  (I told you I was a hopeless romantic!)
  2. Breakable by Tammara Webber - Easy was one of the first New Adult books I read, and loved the story, but when I finished the book I felt there was questions I did not get answered.   Breakable is told from the Lucas's POV during the same timeline as Easy as well as flashbacks to Lucas's life.  Oh, those questions I had - they were answered for me in Breakable.
  3. Dair by R.K. Lilley - As I read book 1&2 of this series, I was not 100% sold on it, but book 3  solidified my love and my recommendation for this series.  I loved Iris, especially at the end of this story - trust me, you need to read this series.
  4. Tamed by Emma Chase -  How can you not want to read a book about sexy dressing rocket scientist, and I am not talking about hero.  You need to meet Dee-Dee and Matt, you will not be disappointed.
  5. Consequences of Deception by Ella Fox  -  This was one of the first dark romances I read, and I was weary at first because I am a happily ever after girl.  I was surprised how quickly I got absorbed into the story and found myself rooting for some of the characters, even when I thought I shouldn't.
  6. The Wrong Billionaire's Bed by Jessica Clare - Fans of this series were treated to a special treat because two books in this series were released in 2014.  I had a hard time choosing which one but I went with The Wrong Billionaire's Bed because it is a story about not seeing what is right in front of you.
  7. End of the Innocence Alessandra Torre  - Alessandra was one of the first authors I read when I got my first Kindle; it was the first book in this series with the original cover, which my friends teased me over.  (You can see the original cover on Goodreads).  This was one of most anticipated books on my TBR list, and Alessandra did not disappoint.  While I was sad to see Brad and Julia's story end - I felt she did a beautiful job giving the ending they deserved.
  8. Full Disclosure by Kindle Alexander -  This is the second book in the Nice Guys series and Kindle has a special talent of telling love story between two men and the struggles they face between their personal and professional lives.
  9. Till Death by S.C. Stephens -  I was excited to see S.C. Stephens edit and publish this series on Amazon.  I read the original version from Smashwords and felt other readers of paranormal romance needed to read this series.  The additional scenes that were added with the edits took this book from great to amazing.
  10. Sins and Mistrust by Isabel Lucero -  This series was an accidental find on Amazon and I am so glad I found it.  We meet Mark in the first book in the series, and the anticipation is built through the first two books about Mark's secret.  Trust me, you will not be disappointed when you learn about Mark's secret.
