Our thoughts...

Ahhhh….Throb.  I loved this story, and could not stop smiling ocne I finished the book. I am usually not a big fan of books set around reality TV shows, but I have heard such great things about Ms. Keeland’s writing that I decided to read it.  I am so glad I did!
Her writing style light and fresh that it kept the storing moving and I did not realize how close I was to the end until I reached the epilogue.

When I read the synopsis I thought I was going to be faced a tug a war between two men and a heroine that can’t make up her mind between the guys. Again, I am so glad I was wrong!  Right off the bat, we see Kate and Copper are perfect together and I believe the banter between them made the story.

“It was a light investigation.  I do more on my employees”
“And you run background checks on women you date too?”

Since I was naturally rooting for Cooper and Kate, you would think I would not like Flynn, but Flynn was such a nice guy you could not hate him.  While this story did not have t love triangle, in a traditional sense, It was refreshing to see Ms. Keeland did not make either of the male characters a complete jerk (she saved that for Miles).    Poor Flynn was the innocent by-standard in book and even though we see glimpses of a potential relationship, Flynn ended being put in the friend zone by Kate.

“She’s a great girl.  But I never had a shot.  She’s in love with you.”

Kate’s friend and sidekick, Sadie, had to be my absolute favorite character.  The comments she made cracked me up, and again I got looks from  people around me.  (Note to Ms. Keeland – please write Sadie’s story – I know her story would be a best seller!)

“You do realize you aren’t supposed to fill the glass to the brim, right?”
“I’m efficient.  If I pour half glass now, I’m only going to have to get up again in five minutes.”

This book is a perfect weekend read or beach read as it is light, fast paced and all the characters are likable (even Miles).  I thoroughly enjoyed the story and plan to go read other works by VI Keeland.  I cannot wait to read the next story in the series, since it will be Flynn’s story.
