What do you get when you mix Bourbon with Mystery? A very intriguing storyline!
I bought this book based off of the cover. It just drew me in. Top it off with the word thief, and there is no turning back for me.

This book was not what I expected it to be. When I first started reading it, we meet a younger woman with looks to kill trying to schmooze over a millionaire in his own right Connor McQueen. I had already begun my theories on why she was going in to seduce this man for his whiskey. It turns out I got so much more.
Not giving too much away we dive into a story that is being told by Paris to Connor McQueen, and let me say it’s a story from beginning to end. It was full of everything good and bad, mostly tragic if you want to know the truth. I enjoyed the author's storytelling; she made me feel like I was truly there and that my ears and eyes were at full attention for what she was telling me.
In the end, I enjoyed this standalone. I wish I would have gotten more, but don’t we always? I think that’s a sign of a good enjoyable book. Don’t miss out on this read; it's different regarding everything else out there.
