This is my first book by this author and it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed the story and didn’t expect certain things to happen. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what was going to happen.

Ophelia has just lost her teaching job due to the school closing. Not only does her job help support her but helps her parents as well. She takes a job interview in New York and doesn’t expect to get the job. If she gets this job it will help out her family tremendously.

Ronan is cold on the outside and only shows a soft side to his children. He is haunted by his past and the loss of his wife. In need of someone to help care for his children he hires Ophelia. He has many secrets he’s keeping from her and is hard to read.

This is a must read for sure. I was expecting this story to go a certain way and then it just didn’t. I won’t say anything more cause I don’t want to ruin the story for anyone.
