I couldn’t wait for this installment of Ella and Reed’s story and it fell short for me. Not that I didn’t like it, I guess I just built up what this book would be like since the first two books in the series blew me away. I really wanted that to happen with this one and it didn’t.

When book two ended I was wondering what in the world and how are they going to fix this. My emotions were all over the place and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. In this final installment we finally get some answers but some of the characters fell short for me. I kept waiting on Ella to gain her ground again. She was such a strong character in the other books. I think that is one thing I didn’t like the most. She lost her backbone somewhere along the way.

Reed had a challenging road ahead of him and I know he had to act differently. With that being said his character to me still fell a little short from the other books. I kept waiting for a more united front from the Royal family and for them all to be there.

I was so excited for this book and had very high hopes. I am glad I read it so I could see what happened but I thought it would have gone a little differently. I really wanted to love it and there were some parts that I did. I was just hoping this book would blow me away like the last two. I am looking forward to more books from this talented duo.
